🚀 Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC)

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell and Innovation Incubation Cell (EDC & IIC) at Srinivasarao College of Pharmacy aims to nurture entrepreneurial skills among students. Its purpose is to support students in transforming their innovative ideas into viable products and provide guidance on teaching and learning practices to foster innovation.

The cell offers mentorship, planning, and execution support to help students turn their startup ideas into real businesses. Additionally, it organizes events and activities to train and inspire students, converting their ideas into actionable projects and business proposals. This initiative helps students transition from job seekers to job creators.

📋Functions of the EDC

  • Assist aspiring entrepreneurs with mentorship, planning, and execution of their startup ideas into real businesses.
  • Organize Entrepreneurship Development Awareness programs in collaboration with MSMEs and experienced entrepreneurs.
  • Build strategic partnerships with reputed organizations that promote innovation.
  • Facilitate industrial visits for prospective entrepreneurs.
  • Encourage and develop interdisciplinary projects among students and staff.
  • Serve as an institutional body providing information and services to budding entrepreneurs.
  • Organize training camps, awareness campaigns, and other activities in coordination with related committees.
  • Foster various skills essential for the successful implementation of entrepreneurial ideas.
  • Provide infrastructure and technical support to incubate ideas.
  • Conduct competitions to encourage students to develop innovative project proposals.

🎯Roles & Responsibilities of the EDC

🌟 Activity Planning & Execution

  • Plan regular IEDC activities and entrepreneurship awareness programs.
  • Encourage members to organize department-level events related to IEDC.
  • Prepare a yearly activity calendar and ensure smooth execution with the help of members and student coordinators.

🛠️ Guidance & Supervision

  • Provide instructions and guidelines to committee members for organizing activities as per the schedule.
  • Supervise the work of EDC volunteers and maintain necessary files and records.

🤝 Collaboration & Liaison

  • Liaise with district and state-level entrepreneurship departments for IEDC projects and activities.
  • Collaborate with external bodies to align with government initiatives like MSME funding and support.

📅 Meetings & Evaluations

  • Conduct biannual meetings to review past programs and plan upcoming ones.
  • Convene committee meetings in consultation with the principal and attend external meetings on entrepreneurship programs.

📦 Resource Management

  • Manage equipment and resources purchased with EDC funds and ensure proper handover at the end of tenure.

🎓 Student Motivation & Skill Development

  • Motivate students to actively participate in IEDC activities.
  • Ensure department-level execution of activities.
  • Help students understand the process of establishing startups and transforming innovative ideas into products or services.
